2009

Three of the reports managed by akzente were among the top ten of the 2009 ranking of the sustainability reports of Germany’s 150 largest corporations conducted by future e. V. and the Institut für ökologische Wirtschaftsforschung (IÖW):

  • Siemens AG (place 2)
  • RWE AG (place 4)
  • BSH Bosch und Siemens Hausgeräte GmbH (place 8)

 

The reports of four more clients were ranked among the top 20:

  • Bayer AG (place 12)
  • Merck KGaA (place13)
  • Robert Bosch GmbH (place 14)
  • HypoVereinsbank (place 20)

 


2008

In March 2008, Bayer AG’s sustainability report was named the “most open and honest report” in an international readers’ survey by Corporate Register.

2007

In November 2007, Bayer won an Econ Award for its website and was runner-up for its sustainability report. These prizes are awarded by Econ Verlag and Handelsblatt for outstanding corporate communications.

 

In a ranking of the 2007 sustainability reports of the 150 largest German companies conducted by future e.V. and IÖW (the Institute for Ecological Economic Research), four reports compiled by akzente were ranked among the top ten:

  • RWE AG (place 2)
  • KarstadtQuelle AG (place 4)
  • WestLB AG (place 5)
  • Bayer AG (place 6)

 

The reports of other akzente clients were all among the top 20:

  • Merck KGaA (place 12)
  • Robert Bosch GmbH (place 15)
  • Vodafone D2 GmbH (place 16)
  • BSH Bosch und Siemens Hausgeräte GmbH (place 19)

2006

In the Accountability Rating, which evaluates the public sustainability reports of the 50 largest companies in the world on governance and disclosure, our client Volkswagen AG was ranked 19th. This was the second-highest ranking for a German company after Daimler Chrysler in 15th place. The German company with the third highest ranking was our client RWE AG, which came in 20th overall (having been best German company and 9th overall the previous year).

 

In the international ranking of sustainability reports conducted by SustainAbility Ltd. in London, three German companies were given the Best Practice distinction: Adidas, Henkel and our client KarstadtQuelle.

 

The designation of the 2005 Bayer AG sustainability report as Best Report by the Deutsche Wirtschaftsprüferkammer (German Chamber of Public Accountants) represented a further achievement, as did the commendation of Bayer’s Internet sustainability reporting at the 18th Corporate Media Awards.

2005

In the ranking of sustainability reports conducted by future e.V./IÖW, four reports compiled by akzente were rated among the top ten:

  • KarstadtQuelle (place 2)
  • RWE (place 6)
  • BSH Bosch and Siemens Hausgeräte and Deutsche Telekom (tied for 10th place)
  • Our client Robert Bosch GmbH came in 12th.

 

The Wirtschaftsprüferkammer designated WestLB AG's sustainability report the Best Newcomer of 2005 and the Sparkasse Finanzgruppe awarded it an ARNO 2005 award for its forward-looking public relations.

2004

The international ranking of sustainability reports by SustainAbility Ltd. in London numbered only five German companies among the top 50. Among them were our clients

  • KarstadtQuelle and RWE (both in 25th place)
  • Deutsche Telekom (45th place)

 

The Internet sustainability report of Allianz AG, also prepared by akzente, was among the top 100.

 


2002

The Wirtschaftsprüferkammer voted RWE AG’s report Best Environmental Report.

In the ranking of environmental reporting conducted by future e.V. and IÖW, two of our clients’ reports were among the top ten:

  • BSH Bosch and Siemens Hausgeräte GmbH (7th place)
  • Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG (10th place)

 

The environmental report we put together for RWE AG was ranked 16th.
